Windows 7 Starter

A basic and restricted version of Windows 7 designed for Netbooks only with some features removed, like the ability to set the desktop wallpaper. Never sold in its own right and not suitable for systems other than low specification netbooks.


Windows 7 Home PremiumWindows 7 home Premium

This is the “Home” version of Windows 7, suitable for home users and small business users with a small number of PCs and limited networking requirements. It can be used to connect to a remote business PC running a “Professional” or higher version of Windows – but cannot be connected to remotely using the standard Windows tools.




Windows 7 ProfessionalWindows 7 Professional

Designed for home and business users with greater networking needs and the ability to be accessed remotely from another PC, giving access to the installed programs and data.  Can be used in business networks and can connect to Windows Servers as full members of a Domain





Windows 7 UltimateWindows 7 Ultimate

Similar to Windows 7 Professional but with additional security and encryption facilities for advanced users.
